Help Pass the Child Protection Compact Act
We’d like to ask members of the trucking industry to help with the passage of a very important bill for those childen who are victims of human trafficking worldwide. It’s called the Child Protection Compact Act (CPCA), and it will be brought up in the lame-duck session of Congress on Nov. 15 when Congress reconvenes. You can read about the bill at http://www.ijm.org/justicecampaigns/cpca
Will you help flood Senate offices with phone calls in support of the CPCA on Nov. 15 before the clock runs out? The International Justice Mission (www.ijm.org) has sent out a plea for people everywhere to call their Senators and urge them to please pass this bill. UNICEF estimates that 3,287 children are trafficked every day.
Making a call is easy: Call your Senators’ offices and say: “Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m calling from [City, State]. I’m calling to ask Senator [NAME] to vote YES to pass the Child Protection Compact Act (S. 3184). This bill would help to eradicate child trafficking, an issue I really care about. Would you please pass my message on to the Senator? Thank you!”
You can find your Senators’ contact information at www.senate.gov.
Thank you for lending your voice for this final push on behalf of children in bondage around the world.
