TAT and Homeland Security

Recently, Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) was applauded by the senior counsel for Homeland Security for the work we’re doing. Their new Blue Campaign to combat human trafficking (www.dhs.gov/humantrafficking) is using the film teaser for a 10-minute trucking-industry specific training DVD Chapter 61 is creating in conjunction with iEmpathize, another abolitionist group, (www.truckersagainsttrafficking.com) to encourage the airline industry to combat this crime with their own initiatives. TAT was also held up as an example of an effective grass-roots movement and benefit to the trucking industry by presenters from the National Traffic Law Center and the National District Attorneys Association at a national human trafficking conference in Washington, D.C. in August for prosecuting attorneys and social workers.
